- Downpatrick Head - the spectacular sea-stack
'Dún Briste' which was separated from the mainland
in 1893. There is a viewing stand at Downpatrick Head to
view the many breeds of birds which nest on Dún
Briste
- A few minutes drive to Kilcummin Strand where General
Humbert and his French troops landed during the historic
1798 rebellion
- Visit 'Céide Fields' Interpretive Centre 8km
west of Ballycastle - the oldest Stone Age settlement in
Europe. There you can see stone age farm settlements,
preserved beneath the wild blanket bog, with old
landscapes of stone walled dwellings and megalithic
tombs. There are guided tours and a short film on the
area
